Meet Marvin
In Marvin’s own words.
My name is Marvin. My birthday is January 21, 2023. I live in Tegucigalpa Honduras with my family.
“Marvin has a sister, Genesis Mendez, who is also in the C4C Child Sponsorship program.”
The Context
Marvin’s world.
Marvin lives in the rural highlands of Tegucigalpa, Honduras — in the heart of Central America’s Northern Triangle. He walks hours to reach school when the roads are passable.
In rural Honduras, 48% of children are chronically malnourished. Hurricanes have displaced hundreds of thousands. Families here live in one-room adobe homes with corrugated roofing, farming coffee on hillside plots with hand tools.
Marvin has a sponsor.
Someone already walks with Marvin. Other children in the program are still waiting for a name to say yes.
