My name is Alexander. My birthday is November 29, 2020. I live in Tegucigalpa, Honduras in the community land of the fathers with my parents and little brother, Emanuel (who is also in the C4C Child Sponsorship program). I love to draw and paint. I like making new friends at school.

The Context

Alexander’s world.

Alexander lives in the rural highlands of Tegucigalpa, Honduras — in the heart of Central America’s Northern Triangle. He walks hours to reach school when the roads are passable.

In rural Honduras, 48% of children are chronically malnourished. Hurricanes have displaced hundreds of thousands. Families here live in one-room adobe homes with corrugated roofing, farming coffee on hillside plots with hand tools.
