My name is Ixel. My birthday is March 29, 2017. I live in Honduras with my family. My brother, Maynor Izaguirre, is also available for sponsorship and you can search his name if you would like to sponsor him also.

The Context
Ixel’s world.
Ixel lives in the rural highlands of Tegucigalpa, Honduras — in the heart of Central America’s Northern Triangle. She walks hours to reach school when the roads are passable.
In rural Honduras, 48% of children are chronically malnourished. Hurricanes have displaced hundreds of thousands. Families here live in one-room adobe homes with corrugated roofing, farming coffee on hillside plots with hand tools.
