Meet Zenabu
In Zenabu’s own words.
My name is Zenabu. My birthday is April 24, 2018. I live in the village of Vea, Ghana, where I attend school.
“Zenabu is the first of three children in her family. She takes care of her younger siblings and likes to sing.”
The Context
Zenabu’s world.
Zenabu lives in Vea, a farming village in Ghana’s Upper East Region — one of the poorest areas in West Africa. She attends school here, walking along unpaved roads through the savanna each morning.
In Vea, families depend on a single rainy season — just three months — to grow an entire year’s food. Only 9% of people in the district live within walking distance of clean water. The groundwater itself is contaminated with fluoride levels above WHO safety limits.
Sponsor Zenabu.
Your sponsorship of $40 per month helps provide Zenabu with access to education, nutritious food, clean water, and medical support — and invests in the entire Vea community that surrounds her.
