My name is Clement and my birthday is February 18, 2017. I live in and go to school in Vea, Ghana. My favorite class in school is Mathematics. I love dogs. When I am outside, I love swimming and playing soccer.

The Context
Clement’s world.
Clement lives in Vea, a farming village in Ghana’s Upper East Region — one of the poorest areas in West Africa. He attends school here, walking along unpaved roads through the savanna each morning.
In Vea, families depend on a single rainy season — just three months — to grow an entire year’s food. Only 9% of people in the district live within walking distance of clean water. The groundwater itself is contaminated with fluoride levels above WHO safety limits.
