My name is Blessmon and my birthday is March 6, 2017. I live in Vea, Ghana with my family. My favorite subject in school is Mathematics. Birds are my favorite animal. I love drawing. When I am outside, I love climbing trees.

The Context
Blessmon’s world.
Blessmon lives in Vea, a farming village in Ghana’s Upper East Region — one of the poorest areas in West Africa. He attends school here, walking along unpaved roads through the savanna each morning.
In Vea, families depend on a single rainy season — just three months — to grow an entire year’s food. Only 9% of people in the district live within walking distance of clean water. The groundwater itself is contaminated with fluoride levels above WHO safety limits.
