Meet Awinteliya
In Awinteliya’s own words.
My name is Awinteliya. My birthday is April 13, 2013. I live in the village of Vea, Ghana, where I attend school.
“Awinteliya has a younger brother named Awinloya Ana-Amlemna who is also in the C4C Child Sponsorship program.”
The Context
Awinteliya’s world.
Awinteliya lives in Vea, a farming village in Ghana’s Upper East Region — one of the poorest areas in West Africa. She attends school here, walking along unpaved roads through the savanna each morning.
In Vea, families depend on a single rainy season — just three months — to grow an entire year’s food. Only 9% of people in the district live within walking distance of clean water. The groundwater itself is contaminated with fluoride levels above WHO safety limits.
Sponsor Awinteliya.
Your sponsorship of $40 per month helps provide Awinteliya with access to education, nutritious food, clean water, and medical support — and invests in the entire Vea community that surrounds her.
