My name is Keylor and my birthday is June 9, 2016. I live in Nicaragua with my family. Language Arts and Literature are my favorite classes at school. My favorite color is blue. Outside of school, I like to do my homework, play baseball and soccer, and I like drawing.

The Context
Keylor’s world.
Keylor lives in Granada, Nicaragua — one of the oldest colonial cities in the Americas. Behind the painted facades and cobblestone streets, families in the surrounding barrios survive on less than $10 a day.
63% of Nicaraguans live in poverty. In the barrios where Keylor lives, tropical downpours turn roads to mud and make schools unreachable for weeks. 19% of children under five have developmental delays from malnutrition.
